A bit of a confession…
I was never a crafty person in my life because of my clumsiness. I was just never good at it. However, for some reason, I was called to this craft. Since then, I have been dyeing, experimenting, failing, celebrating, trying it again and again, and always being mesmerized by whatever happens in the process. I’m truly in owe of this craft and its amazing depth.
Indigo dyeing is physical. My soul moves when I’m dyeing. I learned that there are many many shades of blue and they ALL FEEL DIFFERENT. Different feelings, sensations, thoughts, and movements. I have spent decades in performing arts and somatic education, and I’m slowly starting to understand why I’m being called to this particular craft.
Indigo dyeing helped me through during my challenging time, filling me with joy and light. I’d like to share this beauty with you today.

I have been drawn to the energy, the mood, and the atmosphere of people and places from the childhood. I sensed something underneath the surface even before anyone said anything. Different places had physical, mental, and emotional impact on my being. My aesthetics comes from my yearning and imagination to see what is lurking underneath the surface of things. It is also my understanding of human being - many layers of personalities co-exist in each individual - some visible, others invisible.
We are infinite.
